Aaron Lee Barton, son of Alfred Floyd and Ruby Gladys Keys Barton was born July 1, 1936 in Minco, Ok and departed this life to be with our Lord on September 18, 2011 in Stilwell, Ok at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 17 days. Bro. Aaron was saved at Faith Tabernacle in 1961, after giving his life to the lord he became a pastor and served at many churches including Oak Grove for a year, Guiding Light for 7 years, Whitmire Community Church for 10 years and then he has been the pastor at The Lighthouse Church since 1978. He had a great passion for farming and ranching where he would spend a lot of time with his cattle. He also really enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when it was time to watch the grandkids play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ruby Barton, and motherinlaw Edith Adair. He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 54 years Nadine Barton of the home in Stilwell, OK, 3 children Cindy Guthrie and husband Jim of Westville, Ok, Tim Barton and wife Gina of Stilwell, Ok, Steven Barton and wife Stephanie of Muskogee, Ok, 10 grandchildren, Amie Guffey, Amanda Guffey, Julie Guffey, Jami Guffey, Bret Barton, Jacob Barton, Matthew Barton, Ethan Barton, Evan Barton, Caroline Barton, 9 greatgrandchildren, Fulton Rutland, Katie Doyle, Jordan Wiggins, Jonathan McLeroy, Hunter McLeroy, Addison Guffey, Ashlyn Berry, Kelsey Berry and Emiliee Woodward. 4 sisters, Gladys McCaslin of Lexington, Ok, Ruth Hatfield of Stilwell, Ok, Eunice Hendrix of Oklahoma City, Ok, Margaret Hatchett and husband Jerry of Stilwell, Ok, several nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends also survive him. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Stilwell High School Gymnasium. Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
