Allen Cameron

Allen Cameron, son of Clifford and Delilah (Ryder) Cameron, was born March 13, 1930 in Pueblo, Colorado and passed from this life on Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

Allen was born in Pueblo, CO in 1930 and he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1950. He was discharged in 1954, having served in Korea as a Radar operator. He moved to Muskogee after his discharge and met the love of his life, Pearl Rylee, and they were married on November 21, 1957. Allen was a taxi driver in Muskogee for a number of years before moving to Houston, Texas, where he enrolled in watch making/jewelers school. He graduated in 1964 as a certified jeweler/watch maker. Allen and Pearl remained in Houston for 37 years, at which time they moved to Stilwell and remained here until his death. Their favorite activities together were camping and fishing, which they enjoyed tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford and Delilah Cameron, wife: Pearl, daughter: Eva Miller and great grandson: Lemiah Denny.

Allen is survived by a loving and caring family that includes his children: Bill Thompson and wife Donna of Cabot, AR, Sue Emberton of Westville, OK, Glenda Handle and husband Levi of Rocky Mountain, OK, 9grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, sisters: Laura Wilson of Tulsa, OK, Leona Maynard and husband Chris of Sacramento, CA, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Chaplain Bill Holcomb officiating. Interment followed at Mollie Fields Cemetery, Cherokee County, Oklahoma
