Andrew (Andy) Duncan, born on April 1, 1963, passed from this life July 12, 2023 after a short battle with Leukemia. His daughter Mandy, twin brother Randy, and younger brother Jackie Ray, were by his side as he peacefully entered his heavenly home.
Andy was born to Louella Duncan in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was raised in the Bell Community. He attended Bell Elementary School and Cave Springs High School. He enjoyed his rural upbringing, as any young boy would. As children, Andy and Randy spent much time exploring the woods, enjoying a good swimming hole, and coon hunting with their cousins and friends. As an adult, Andy worked for Peterson Farms and then, later for Butterball.
You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand. - John 13:7
Andy's life may not have followed the path he or his family would have wanted, but God provided for his eternal life, filled with much joy, family and freedom. Andy believed in salvation and had accepted Christ as his Savior. He continued strengthening his faith through church services and Bible study throughout his life.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother Louella; sister Georgianna (Duncan) Thurber; and niece, Vanessa (Duncan) Sawney.
Andy is survived by his daughter Mandy (Duncan) Watie and husband Sundown; twin brother Randy, and wife Mary Ann; sister Brenda Flynn and husband Tom; sister Marlene Teehee and husband Albert; brother Jackie Ray Duncan; and grandchildren Shade Watie and Snowda Watie. He is also survived by aunts Winnie Chuculate and Betty Lou Galcatcher, and husband Joe Galcatcher; and many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.
Andy will forever be remembered for his soft-spoken words, easy laughter, kindness, uplifting attitude, and deep love for his family.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trail because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. - James 1:12
