Angela Jo Daugherty was born February 5, 1989, in Weatherford, Texas to Ellis Joe Daugherty and Ruth Ann (Shell) Daugherty. She departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
She met Jonathan Cale Gonzales in 2006 in Stilwell, OK and they were inseparable until she gained her wings. They share 3 children, Aselyn Breez, Christopher Cale, and Hallie Jo Ann, all of the home.
Angela was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She gave her life to the Lord on November 12, 2017 and was baptized shortly thereafter. Angela’s family and friends knew her as “Thumper” and to some as “Ang”.
She loved cooking. Angela sure loved the Oklahoma Sooners. She enjoyed playing outside with her kids. Angela also enjoyed attending Aselyn and Christopher’s sports events. Ang loved her family, and her laugh was contagious.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Ruth Daugherty, father-in-law: Jeff (Sonny) Gonzales, brother: Christopher Galcatcher, sister: Michelle Daugherty, aunts: Elizabeth Shell, Saundra Pettit, Lynn (Gonzales) Taylor and Sarah Simmons, uncle: Ben Shell.
She is survived by family that include her loving companion of 16 years, Jon “Chub” Gonzales, her children: Aselyn, Christopher and Hallie, all of Stilwell, OK, sisters: Dana Qualls of Broken Arrow, OK and Brittany Daugherty of Stilwell, OK, two sisters-in-law: Sheena Gonzales of Stilwell, OK, Venessa Grimmett and husband Roy Lee of Keys, OK, brothers: Damon Mink and Jackie Ray Duncan, both of Stilwell, OK, one brother-in-law: Jeffrey Gonzales of Stilwell, OK, 10 nephews and 10 nieces, aunts: Nellie Sue Ayers of Memphis, TN, Caleen and husband Everett Bolin of Dry Creek, OK, Amanda and husband Kenny Denton of Baron, OK, uncles: Timothy Bishop and wife Anne Marie of Stilwell, OK, Keith Shell of Memphis, TN, Dennis Starr, John Daugherty, Charlie Daugherty, Justin Wilson and Teddy Gregory, all of Stilwell, OK and Curtis Taylor of Westville, OK, mother-in-law: Cindy Gonzales of Stilwell, OK and Granny Bobbie Wilson of Stilwell, OK.
Angela is also survived by several cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
