Barbara Stepp

Barbara Sue Stepp, daughter of Stealer Shell and Susie Foster was born February 29, 1948 in Tahlequah, Ok and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on July 6, 2016 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 7 days.

Barbara loved to sing Cherokee hymns, go to gospel singings, quilting, knitting and cooking for her family. She was a great caregiver who enjoyed taking care of everyone. Although she never had children of her own she raised several as her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Monroe Stepp, and one sister; Margaret Pritchett.

Barbara is survived by a very loving family that includes her siblings; Sandra Vann and husband Farris, Mary Alice Duncan and husband Jimmy all of Stilwell, OK, James Quinn and wife Michelle of Okmulgee, OK, Peggy Ross, Vina Pritchett, John Williams, Carolyn Rich and husband Arless and Sharon Shell all of Stilwell, OK, a special niece and nephew whom were like her children; Roxanne Burgess, Tim Burgess and wife Angela. Grandchildren; Shyla Burgess, Snow Burgess, Tristan Burgess, great grandchildren; Jordan and Haven, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
