Barney Grayson

Barney Dale Grayson, son of William and Janie Marie Bird Grayson was born August 26, 1970 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 21, 2012 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 26 days. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. He attended Sanders Flat Church when able. He worked for the Cherokee Nation for several years and was currently working as a farm hand. Barney was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Lesley Grayson and Joseph Sam. He is survived by a very loving family that includes a sister Lucinda Flynn whom he thought of as his mother and her husband Charles Davis of Sallisaw, OK, sisters Betty Grayson of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Davis and husband Ronnie of Siloam Springs, AR, Tootsie Grayson of Stilwell, OK, brothers William Grayson of Sallisaw, OK, Leroy Grayson and wife Camilia of Welling, OK, Fred Henry Toan and wife Tiffany of Siloam Springs, AR, James Toan and wife Melanie of Calico Rock, AR, grandmother Betty Bird of Bunch, OK, a special father Luke Flynn, 5 special nephews who were like brothers Darrell Wayne Flynn and wife Catrina, Jimmy Dean Flynn all of Sallisaw, OK, Clifton Flynn and wife Sherry of Vian, OK, Clifford Flynn and Ryan Flynn all of Sallisaw,OK. 2 special friends Richard and Russ of Grants Pass, OR, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him. Funeral services were held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the RobertsReedCulver Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Polecat and Bro. Joe Grayson officiating. Interment followed in the Beaver Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
