Betty Blackfox

Betty Gail Blackfox passed from this life on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Stilwell, OK at 66 years of age. She was born on May 18, 1945 to Steve and Florence Threekiller Blackfox. Betty and her companion J. C. Livers had several good years together. Betty and J. C. were a huge influence in the life of someone who was very special and dear to them. They encouraged and met the needs for their dearly loved Joanie Peden Simmington throughout her growing up years including college. Betty was baptized on May 23, 1982 and was a member at Old Green Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gospel singings. She also enjoyed going to rodeos and fishing with her companion J. C. She was a lady of very strong will who seldom complained of her aches and pains and recently received an award from the dialysis center for perfect attendance she had treatments three days a week for 14 years. Betty was preceded in death by her companion, J. C. Livers, who passed from this life on October 13, 2008 her parents: Steve and Florence Blackfox and her only sibling: Rita. Survivors include some very special people in her life: Joanie Simmington, baby Emily, Trent and husband Joey, Maneka Ferguson, and Larry Liver. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2011 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with John Hammer and Dale Reynolds officiating. Interment followed at Old Green Cemetery, Westville, OK under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
