Beulah Mae Bradford, daughter of John Russell and Della T. Claxton Cox, was born on June 19, 1922 in Westville, Oklahoma and departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 30 days.

Beulah Mae and Raymond loved traveling and family reunions at the lake. They liked attending Blue Grass Festivals and for many years made an annual trip to the National Bluegrass Festival in Nashville, TN. Beulah Mae enjoyed learning about history and visiting civil war battle sites. She also enjoyed visiting with friends while attending Black Angus State and National meetings. Beulah Mae could tell you the name of any bird or plant native to Oklahoma.

She was very dedicated to her nieces and nephews and encouraged them to pursue their education.

Beulah Mae taught in area schools for 40 years and retired from Zion School in 1984. She appreciated keeping in touch and visiting with former students.

Preceding her in death were her parents: John and Della T. Cox, her husband: Raymond Bradford, siblings: Hugh Cox, Woodrow Cox, Floyd Cox and Nettie Whitmire Woods.

Surviving Beulah Mae is a large family that includes one brother in law, Wesley Bradford and wife Pansy, two sister in laws: Darlene Bradford Gladys Thorton all of Adair county. Her nephews and nieces: Haskell Whitmire of Tulsa, Della Ann Laughlin Gearl of Tulsa, Billie Kay Moore Bill of Broken Arrow, Dean Bradford Lois, Carolyn Ailey Wesley, Patty WarnerBruce, Tom Bradford Kim,Darlene JohnsDennis, Connie Friesen Dwight, Raelene Kincaid Gail, Sonya Byers Arlen, Linda Knight, Johnny Bradford, Sharon Berry Jim, Rick Bradford, Dona Gibson, Karen Moseley Don, Robert Bradford, Wesley Bradford Debbie, Anga Lee Everett , Mary Ann Bourland Jerry, Larry Thornton Diane.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Beulah Maes memory to the Zion School Library Fund.

Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Larry Hatfield officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
