Billie Nadine Garret, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on April 26, 1941, Billie was a vibrant and caring individual whose love for her family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life.
Billie dedicated many years as a high school teacher, but her warmth and passion extended far beyond the classroom. She found immense joy in her hobbies, often filled with laughter and excitement at the casino and during spirited games of bingo. However, her greatest pride and joy came from her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Billie treasured every moment spent with her children and their families.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Kim Glowen, husband Brian, son Bobby Garrett, and wife Juanita. She is also remembered fondly by her sister Barbara Johnson, grandchildren; Amber Davis, Bailey Merino, and Austin Garrett, and great-grandchildren; Killian Davis, Kolby Davis, Atticus Merino, and Andi Garrett, along with a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Verna Patterson, her sisters, Jewel Defenbaugh, Sue Asbill, Sheridan Patterson, Carolyn Lowe, and Christine Hunter, and her brothers, HP, Paul, Joe, Ed, and Herbert Patterson.
Billie's legacy is one of love, dedication, and family togetherness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
