Billie Kay Woods-Moore

August 23, 1945 — May 27, 2025

Billie Kay Woods-Moore, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passedaway peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by family. She was 79 years old.

Billie was born on August 23, 1945, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Nettie (Cox) and Forrest Woods. From a young age, she was known for her adventurous spirit, creative hands, and deep compassion for others. These traits would become the foundation of a life beautifully lived. She married Bill Moore on August 14, 2002, in Tulsa. The two met while studying at Rhema Bible College, united by their shared faith and devotion to service. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and faith. A creative soul, Billie was a passionate quilter and crafter. She found joy in watching birds and squirrels from the rocker on her porch and tending to the flowers in her yard. Her gentle appreciation for nature mirrored her loving approach to people: Billie believed in kindness, respect, and acceptance for every person.

Her faith was an enduring part of her life, and she gave much of her time and heart to her church community. But it was her family that brought her the greatest joy.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, J.G. Whitmire.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her sister Della Ann Laughlin; five children-Angela, Deborah, Deidre, Jennifer, and Chris; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Billie leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering kindness. Her presence will be missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
