Billy Ray Holloway was born on May 24, 1940 to George Holloway and Georgia Jones in Prairie Grove, AR. He passed away on Sunday, September 20 at Washington Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville, AR.
He graduated from both the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He practiced law for 40 years. During his career, he also served in the Arkansas House of Representatives in the 1970s.
Billy Ray was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Roberta Holloway, of Stilwell, OK; his children: Jon Holloway and his wife, Michaelanne, of Elsberry, MO; Anne Holloway Wells and her husband, Lang, of Sheridan, AR; BJ Holloway and his wife, Jennifer, of Texas; his grandchildren: Nora Revie and her husband, Tom, of St. Louis, MO; Jon Erik Holloway, of St. Louis, MO; Hudson Wells and his wife, Allison, of Norman, OK; Rivers Wells, of Sheridan, AR; Ross Anthony, Madden, Jackson and Jagger Holloway; his 2 great-grandchildren, Owen and Violet Revie.
He made a great impact on the lives of many people, and he will truly be forever missed.
