Billy Dean Morton, son of George and Fay Barker Morton was born October 20, 1945, in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life Sunday, December 25, 2011, at his home in Agua Dulce, California at the age of 66 years, 2 months, and 5 days. Bill was a 1963 graduate of Stilwell High School and joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 1963 and served until 1969. After graduating from Northeastern State University with a major in physics, he was employed by North American Aviation in January 1968. American Aviation was renamed Rockwell International. He transferred with the company to El Segundo, California in 1971. He received the degree of a master of business administration degree from California State College in 1977. Rockwell became Northrop Aviation and later Northrop Grumman. One of the major projects he worked on for Northrop Grumman was the B2 Bomber. Bill retired in December 2011. He was an aviation enthusiast as well as owning and flying his own plane. He enjoyed riding motorcycles for pleasure and commuting to work. He very much enjoyed being a deputy volunteer with the Sheriff Department of Los Angeles County. He is survived by Kaye Kirkwood, his companion of the home in Agua Dulce, and several cousins and friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. at Stilwell City Cemetery with Neil Morton officiating.
