Bob Kelley

October 26, 1930 — April 22, 2015

Bob Myrl Kelley, 84, passed away April 22nd after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born in Adair County Oklahoma close to Stilwell to Roy and Nina Kelley, a middle child of twelve. He is survived by three siblings: JoAnn, Betty and Dale.

Bob Kelley and Kathryn Keith were married in 1953 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where they met at Northeastern State College. After school they moved to New Mexico where he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. There they had their only child, Renee. They moved back to Tulsa, OK, where Bob worked for a major oil company as an accountant and Kathryn was an elementary school teacher. In the 1980's he retired from work in Tulsa and moved to Bella Vista Arkansas. Here he went back to work and was a Real Estate agent and then worked for WalMart Headquarters in the accounting department. When he retired a second time, they moved to Grove, Oklahoma to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.

His years were full of work, family, grandchildren, traveling, helping his wife in her basket weaving and helping where he could in the community. Bob and Kathryn traveled with Renee around the US and to visit family, and in his later years, he was always, "Good to Go" with a great group of Grand Lake Travelers. He loved to fish and camp and spent hours on the boat with his grandsons. He was a strong, loving and compassionate man.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Kelley and their daughter Renee Lenertz, five grandsons: Kevin, Jeff, Jeremy, Caleb, and Adam Lenertz; and four great-grandchildren: Elise, Celia, Elisabeth, and Lukas.

Memorial services to be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at First Christian Church in Grove, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
