Calvin Christie

Calvin “Jim” Lacie Christie was born on April 12,1953 in Tahlequah, OK to Lacie and Louise (Ross) Christie.  He passed away on February 25, 2020 in West Siloam Springs, OK.

On February 20, 1979, he married Edith Buck, during that union 2 children were born Brandy and Calvin II. He also gained a son and daughter when he and Edith married, Chris and Bo.

Calvin worked and retired from Simmons after working over 40 years.  He loved all sports but he loved his OU Sooners the most.  He played fastpitch softball for many years, and coached several slow pitch softball teams over the years.  He loved to roller skate and was a pretty good skater.  He also loved to play bingo, his favorite place to play was Salina American Legion.  He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and his grandkids.

In 1996, he married Linda Kirk, she preceded him in death in 2010.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda, one brother, Harvey, step dad Robert Springwater, 2 brothers in law, Cornelius Frogg and Donald McDaniel.

Those left to cherish him memory are his kids, Christine and Mike Pennington, Rogers, AR, Clarence (Bo) and Brandy Kreger, Gentry, AR, Brandy and Zach Scates, Siloam Springs, AR, Calvin (Big) Christie II, Watts, OK.  His grandkids, Hailie, Walker and Paislee.  His sisters, Betty Frogg and companion, Steve Jones, Stilwell, OK and Barbara McDaniel and companion Rick Adair, Stilwell, OK.  He has numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
