Carol Unger

Carol Louise Unger, daughter of Harry Leroy and Elva Louise (Wright) Smoots, was born on February 19, 1941 in Chehalis, Washington and passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.

She married Walter Harvey Unger on July 25, 1956. They were blessed with a wonderful family and long marriage. She helped support her family as a nurse aide. Carol was a warm, friendly person and a good friend. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them. Carol will be deeply missed.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Elva Smoots, husband: Walter Unger, great granddaughter: Erika Gallaway.

A large, loving family survives her. They include her daughters: Leta and husband Randy Hardin of Tulsa, OK, Linda Winkler of Stilwell, OK, Bertha and husband Terry LaRose of Stilwell, brother: Donald Smoots of Chehalis, WA, grandchildren: Angie Smith and husband Bryan, Leroy Brown and wife Stephanie, Gregg Winkler and wife Shawna, Casey Winkler, Dennis Dean, Christie Mankin, Zachariah Toney, Bobby LaRose and wife Maybelle, great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Philpott, Johnny Brown, Bethany Gallaway, Jacob Brown, Britney Brown, Walter Smith, Michael Winkler, Jonah Winkler, Jeremiah Roberts, Hailey Winkler, Christopher Little, Adrianna Little, Ashleigh Collins, Taylor Collins, Kian LaRose, Bjorn LaRose, Kaiden LaRose, great-great grandchildren: Braylee Philpott and Meckenah Philpott.

Many other relatives and friends also survive her.

Funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Honey Hill Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Glenn Hopkins officiating. Interment followed at Honey Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
