Cecil Edward "Butch" Stewart, son of Ruben Cecil and Esther Eudora (Benton) Stewart, was born on January 6, 1949 in Watonga, Oklahoma and departed this life on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at 69 years of age.
Butch was a sharp dresser and he worked like a champ. He worked in the oil fields, learning many things and meeting many people from all walks of life.
He enjoyed piddling with machinery, Rodeos and Country & Western Music. Butch loved the outdoors! He liked cutting wood and hunting.
Butch served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ruben and Esther Stewart, daughters: Tina Stewart and Jennie Cosby.
A loving family survives him. They include his wife, Daisy Black, of the home near Stilwell, OK, children: Don Stewart, of the home, Sandy Stewart of Jacksonville, NC, Deana Reid of Quemado, NM, sisters: Frances Watkins of Stilwell, Carolyn Cloud of Tulsa, OK, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews, in laws and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Herman and Morris Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
