Charles Luethje

Charles William Luethje, son of William Ernest and Nellie Evelyn Miner Luethje was born August 10, 1944 in Independence, Kansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on December 21, 2009 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 11 days. Charles married the love of his life Mary Ruth Carr on November 14, 1969 and to this union 3 sons were born; Robert, Geoff and Gerry. He loved working jigsaw puzzles, cutting wood and spending time with his family and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son; Colin Wayne Luethje, 1 daughter; Charity Lynn Luethje, 2 brothers; Russell and Norman Luethje, 1 sister; Wanda Dalrymple and 1 nephew; Alan Luethje. He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 40 years; Mary Luethje, 3 sons; Robert W. Luethje and wife Christina of Pomona, NY, Geoff E. Luethje of Stillwater, Ok, Gerry L. Luethje and wife Alisa of Midwest City, Ok, 3 grandchildren; Tawana Luethje and Jacob Luethje of Midwest City, Ok and Charles Luethje II of Stillwater, Ok. His siblings; Hazel Wilson and husband Tom of Coweta, Ok, Evelyn Wolfe and husband Wes of Pryor, Ok, Vera Shannon and husband Clifford of Tulsa, Ok, Daniel Luethje and wife Diane of Jefferson City, MO, Arnold Luethje and wife Margaret of Stilwell, Ok, Wilford Luethje of Tucson, AZ, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held, Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Matthews officiating. Interment services were in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home.
