Christine Carlile

Christine Carlile, daughter of Bishop and Gertie Briggs Littlejohn, was born on June 15, 1914 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 11 months and 27 days. She was a graduate of Stilwell High School. Christine and her husband, Levi, owned and operated Levi Carlile Trucking in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Stilwell. Christine was truly a remarkable woman, whose smile and grace touched many lives. Her presence will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death are her parents: Bishop and Gertie Littlejohn, husband: Levi Carlile and son: Levi Carlile, Jr. Christine is survived by a loving family, her granddaughters: Kaay Lipscomb of Ft. Smith, AR, Karen Thomas and husband Don of Dallas, TX, Cheryl Lyons and husband Joe of Ft. Smith, Lisa Henry and husband Tim of Greenbriar, AR, 7 great grandchildren, 10 greatgreat grandchildren, brothinlaw: Bob Carlile and wife Nadine, nephews: Byrl and Earl Littlejohn, Jerry Tindle, nieces: Lavonn Harris and Mary Turner. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Kevin Spurlock officiating.
