Deborah Wilson

Deborah Kay Benham Wilson, daughter of David and Edna Patterson Benham, was born on December 22, 1954, in Stilwell, OK, and received her heavenly wings on July 17, 2012, at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 25 days. Deb married the love of her life, Larry Craig Wilson, on June 4, 1976, in Stilwell, OK, and to this union two children were born: Latrecia Kay and Larry Charles. She graduated from Stilwell High School in 1973, and in 1976 she earned her bachelors degree in elementary education from Northeastern State University. Deb taught school for 14 years until her health declined, and then she took an early retirement. To keep herself busy, she continued to work with school students on their various 4H projects. She also devoted her life to serving God, raising her children, cooking, canning in the summer, sewing, and in the last 12 years being the best Mammaw every kid would love to have. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Benham, and brother, Gene Benham. Debbie is survived by a loving family that includes her husband, Larry, of the home daughter, Latrecia James and husband Shandon son, Larry Charles Wilson and wife Jessica, all of Stilwell, OK, 4 grandchildren: Shelby Lynn Wilson, Layne Craig Wilson, Aspyn Sayge James, and Landon Charles Wilson brothers, Bill Benham and wife Shirley of Wagoner, OK, Joe Benham and wife Linda, Charles Benham, and wife Donna, Mike Benham, sistersinlaw, Nancy Benham and Melinda Benham, all of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 19, 2012 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Joe Smith and Jimmy Clare officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
