Delbert Collins

Delbert Collins, son of Forest Sylvester and Haley Emberton Collins, was born on October 25,1928 in Natural Dam, Arkansas and departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in Welling, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 23 days. Delbert enjoyed fishing. While he was able, he kept a garden big enough for the whole neighborhood. By profession, he was a heavy equipment operator. He always enjoyed having company and being surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Eddie Collins and his brother: Artis Collins. Those left to keep his memory are his wife: Ella Mae Collins of the home in Welling, OK, grandchildren: Kristopher and Krystal Collins of the home in Welling, OK, daughter: Deborah Collins of Ft. Smith, AR, stepchildren: Bob Collins and wife Reba of Stilwell, OK, Carl Collins and wife Sharon of Stilwell, OK, Steve Collins and wife Cindy of Tahlequah, OK, Carol Drumm and husband Darrell of Bunch, OK, nieces and nephews: Jerry Collins of Kibler, AR, Kay Dunbar and husband Gary of Van Buren, AR, Sue Jones and husband Bruce of Van Buren, AR, Larry Collins and wife Terry of Cedarville, AR. Delbert is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009 at RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dale Phelps officiating. Interment followed at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, AR, under the direction of RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home.
