Dorothy Worsham

Dorothy Jean Worsham, daughter of Alex and Gladys (Rogers) Tindle, was born July 11, 1923 in Stilwell, Ok and departed this life on August 1, 2016 in Melbourne, FL at the age of 93 years and 20 days.

She married Tommy Worsham and to this union 3 children were born; Donna, Larry and Roger. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She served in the United States Coast Guard, was a teacher and a true educator her entire working career. She attended the First Christian Church where she was a member while her health permitted.

Dorothy was the only surviving charter member of Oklahoma Nu Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa an international teacher's sorority. Nu chapter was chartered in 1960 and she remained a member until her passing. She held many leadership positions including President and attended numerous international conventions, regional conferences, and state conventions along with district and chapter meetings.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Tommy Dale Worsham.

Dorothy is survived by her family that includes her children; Donna Ketcher of Melbourne, FL, Larry Dale "Jonas" Worsham and wife Joan Marie of Chattanooga, TN, Roger Dean Worsham and wife Cheri of HerVfderson, NV, granddaughter Kimberly Ketcher of Melbourne, FL with whom Dorothy and Tommy Dale lived with and she cared for them for the last 8 years. Grandchildren; Angela Hamre of Placentia, CA, Luke Worsham of Kent, WA, John Worsham of Long Beach, CA, Paul, Greg, Nina and Benjamin Worsham of Chattanooga, TN. Great Grandchildren; Carson and Hudson Hamre of Placentia, CA, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Steve Panter and Eldon Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, Ok.
