Ellen Mae Turner

June 18th, 2023, Ellen Mae Turner, 64 of Westville OK passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband Robert Turner at her side. That evening, love left a memory no one can ever steal. Ellen and Robert got married in Fayetteville, Arkansas and have been together for nearly 43 years, and resided in Piney of Adair County.

Ellen entered this world on August 11, 1958 in Evansville, AR, born to Danny and Margaret Evans. Ellen was very passionate in her love for music, reading, arts and crafts, baking and World of Warcraft toward her later years. Her canine companions were very dear to her. Ellen's spiritual journey was fraught and therefore hard-won. Ellen spoke of heaven and prayer throughout her later years and was a believer of life after this life. She was a principled woman of integrity always in search of the truth, accomplishing almost anything sat in front of her.

Many knew her as "Mae-Mae". Their house was a home to many, she helped raise multiple children and nieces and nephews. Their place was a place of celebrations, family time, arts and crafts, baking, holidays, and outings that involved sometimes 15 children at a time. Ellen Mae Turner had a Son Richard Olive and a daughter Alicia Jordan. Ellen had also raised and adopted 4 of her nieces and nephews throughout their childhood, step- sons David and Ray Turner and stepdaughters Michelle and Pamela Turner.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Daniel Evans, her daughter Alicia Jordan, and her stepson Ray Turner. Ellen is survived by her beloved husband Robert Turner, Her son Richard and fiancé Ginger Olive. Her Grand Children Ricky, Anne and Joey Olive, Taryn and Stephen Jordan, 11 step-grandchildren and she loved each one of them dearly. She is also survived by many nieces/nephews, sister and brother in laws and many friends and family. Services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK on 6/27/2023 at 3PM. Following the service will be a celebration of life held at Susan's House in Lincoln, Ar.
