Eloise Christie, daughter of Arleacher and Narcie (Scraper) Beaver, was born on May 21, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.
She attended school at Cave Springs and was of the Baptist Faith.
In March of 1961, Eloise met the love of her life, Johnnie Lee, in Bunch, Oklahoma and they married the following year in March of 1962. On February 9, 1963, Stoney was born in Tahlequah and five years later, on June 5, 1968, John Thomas was born in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1969, she and her family settled in Stilwell and Eloise began her career in Nursing.
She enjoyed fishing, attending auctions and BBQs at Baron Fork Creek. Eloise loved to cook for her family and made wonderful chocolate candy as a treat.
Eloise was a daily patron of the SR Citizens Center for many years, where she enjoyed having lunch with her friends.
She showered affection on her dogs, Pepper and JoJo and also on her cat, Pretty Boy. They were a very important part of her life for many years.
Her parents: Arleacher and Narcie Beaver, twin sister: Louise Beaver, sisters: Sarah Jane Hardbarger, Martha Sue Pettit, Imogene Beaver, Mollie Starr, Laurie Beaver, Elsie Vann, Mary Lowhead, brother: Charlie Beaver (who died as a toddler), brothers: Alex Beaver, Robert Beaver, Bob Jones, Eugene Beaver, Hubert Beaver and Felix Chuculate, all preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons: Stoney Christie and John Thomas Christie, both of Stilwell, OK, grandson: John Thomas Christie II of Tahlequah, OK, sister: Nellie Sue Beaver of Sallisaw, OK, brother: Sam Beaver and wife Susie of Stilwell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Wayne Bunch officiating. Interment followed at Hickory Vann Cemetery, Bunch, Oklahoma.
