Elsie Lee

Elsie Pauline Lee, daughter of Sherman Pack and Flora Josephine Cooper was born on July 26,1944 in Stilwell, Okla. and departed this life on November 15,2016 in Stilwell, Okla. at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Elsie was married to James Allen Lee, Jr on December 10,1964. Elsie and James were well known for their fireworks stands. She was a successful small business woman, for many years running Lee's APCO service station and was also a bus driver for Stilwell Public Schools. Her hobbies were her grandchildren which she had a major role in raising.

Elsie was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband, J.A.; brothers, George, Luney, Arthur Dale Thomas, and Frank Thomas.

She leaves to mourn her passing: Son, Darren Lee and wife Bobbie of Stilwell. Daughters: Sharon Davis and husband Barton of Austin, Texas; Karen Christie and husband William of Stilwell; Barbara Raymo of Claremore; Celesta Mink and husband Colby of Stilwell. 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren;3 great-great grandchildren. One sister: Nellie Dozier and husband Arthur of Siloam Springs, Ark. Brother: Oscar Thomas of Memphis Tenn.; brother Jerry Thomas of Westville, Okla. Several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Don Waldrop officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
