Estleda Gelina Holmes

Estleda “Gelina” Holmes was born on December 19, 1941 in Daisy, Oklahoma to Claude and Martha Coles. She departed this life to be with the Lord on February 25, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 6 days.

She dedicated her life to the Lord and to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Sycamore Tree Baptist Church for several years. She was proud to be a grandmother and never missed a moment to share their accomplishments and pictures with others. She loved playing dominos, putting puzzles together, and doing word search puzzles with her husband. She also loved reading “The Little House on the Prairie” and “Nancy Drew” books in her spare time. Gelina married Virgil Holmes on March 30, 1962. They built their life together centered around their family and helping people in need.

Gelina is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, four sisters, four brothers, aunts, and uncles.

She is survived by her husband: Virgil Holmes of the home, her sister: Janey and husband Dave Holmes, son: Michael and wife Cindy Holmes, daughter: Renee Baldridge all of Bunch, Oklahoma, daughters: Sandra and husband Bill Thirsty of Marble City, Oklahoma, Shannon and husband CJ Scott of Welling, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Brandon, Ethan, Gracie, Jeremy, Joel, Latisha, Molly, Nikki, Shana, Shania, Tiffany, and Trenton, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
