Ferell Eugene Longshore was born August 29, 1932 as the 15th child of Claude and Irene (Canalis) Longshore in Bunch, Ok. On July 11, 2020 he peacefully and joyfully left this life to join his “Kate” on their 68th wedding anniversary at the age of 87 years, 10 mos. and 12 days.
Ferell served his country, in the Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was a rancher and a chicken farmer. He loved Pro basketball, football and baseball and surfed the channels to catch all the games. He was an avid gardener and prided himself on growing tomatoes and hot peppers. He also enjoyed eating those hot peppers!! He loved spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. One of his favorite past-times was snake hunting with his grandchildren. He was the last survivor of 16 children. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Stilwell.
He married the love of his life, Betty Ford, on July 11, 1953 in Dora, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents and 15 siblings. He is survived by 4 children: Mike and wife Robyn of Stilwell, Rosemary Hardbarger and husband Donnie of Bunch, Connie Hunt and husband Tim of Stilwell, Tammy Eubanks, and husband Billy of Bunch. 11 grandchildren: Kelli, Chad, Casey, Brent, Jill, Haley, Hannah, Chandler, Cassie, Summer, and Case and 14 great grandchildren.
