George Duck, a beloved member of the Cherry Tree Community, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on March 30, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, George lived his life in the heart of the Cherokee Nation, where he was known for his warm spirit and commitment to family and faith.

A devoted member of Cherry Tree Church, George found joy in participating in various church activities, attending revivals, Bible studies, and community events with unwavering dedication. He built his career as a laborer with Stilwell Foods, where he worked for many years before his well-deserved retirement. Beyond his job, George embraced the simple pleasures of life, enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, and exploring flea markets and yard sales. He was an avid fan of WWE Wrestling, cheering for his favorite wrestlers with the enthusiasm of a true sports lover.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Lizzie (BearPaw) Duck, as well as many beloved siblings and family members, including sister Susie and her husband Fred Riddle, sister Leta and her husband Elmer Hawk, sister Louella and her husband Bob Gonzalis, brother Sid Duck Jr. and his wife Lucinda Duck, brother Tex Duck and his wife Annabelle Duck, sister Osie and her husband Gabriel Castro, sister Martha Carolyn Salinas and her husband Billy Young, brother Tim Duck, and several cherished nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his devoted sisters, Jennie Duck and Dora Duck, his longtime friend Debbie Scraper, and a vast family of nieces and nephews who will carry his legacy forward.

Funeral services will be held at Cherry Tree Church, where George spent so many enriching hours in fellowship and faith. The community is invited to gather to celebrate his life, reflect on his many contributions, and share memories of the joy he brought to those around him

As we remember George Duck, let us honor his spirit of love, commitment to family, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
