In Loving Memory: Goldie Marie Warner
[11/18/38] - [6/11/23]
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Goldie Marie Warner on June 11th, 2023. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Goldie Marie was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her, and a big personality that brought love and life to this world.
Born on November 18th,1938 to Bob and Corena Thomas, Goldie Marie was raised in a loving family that instilled in her the values of compassion, kindness, a good work ethic, and a deep love for God. Throughout her life, she embodied these virtues and shared them with everyone she encountered. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer and the presence of God in every aspect of life was an inspiration to all who knew her.
In her early years Goldie Marie was a dedicated wife and a nurturing mother to her daughter Carla and son Randy. She created a loving home where faith, love, and respect flourished. Her children and grandchildren (Rob, Russell and Kristine) were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her legacy of love and devotion to God will forever live on through the lives she touched. She also owned a beauty salon that her daughter Carla helped run.
Goldie Marie was a registered nurse for eighteen years and teacher of nurses, she focused her time and talents to various forms of nursing. Her favorite type of nursing was caring for patients with eating disorders. It was in this type of nursing that she combined her master of cosmetology skill set with her nursing skills. She would help her patients recover as well as do their hair and nails. She embraced each opportunity to spread God's love and grace. Her gentle spirit and words of encouragement uplifted countless individuals, bringing them closer to their faith and providing solace during difficult times.
In her free time, Goldie enjoyed gardening, country music, traveling, quilting, and helping others grow. She found solace in mentoring specific people that God put in her life and formed deep relationships with various people throughout her life.
Goldie is survived by her daughter Carla, grandson Robert, grandson Russell, and granddaughter Kristine. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends. We mourn her loss, but we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us to love God and others with the same passion and devotion that she exemplified throughout her life.
