Hershell "Pup" Looney

Hershell Levon Looney son of Jim and Jane Looney was born august 4, 1939 in Madill, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with the Lord on January 25, 2022, at home in the Hungry Mountain Community at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

Hershell was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather to his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His favorite thing to do was have family dinners, sitting on the porch visiting and waving at neighbors as they went by, he loved to go fishing and camping, going to church and reading the word of God. He retired from Greenleaf Nursery after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years: Dolly Looney; his parents; 8 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Hershell is survived by a very loving family that includes his 3 daughters: Karen Lemasters of the home, Sherri Burr, and Tressa Foreman and husband Tex; 1 son: David Looney and wife Leanna. 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive him.
