Jackie Jones

Jackie Floyd Jones a beautiful baby boy born August 20th, 1935 in rural Oklahoma to Robert and Opal Scott Jones went home to be with his Lord on August 22, 2013 at his home in the Rocky Mountain Community located just west of Stilwell, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 78 years 2 days. Floyd enjoyed his life as husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed taking care of his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, riding horses, and working in the hay field. He was always willing to help out his neighbors and do whatever odd jobs that needed to be done. Floyd was a member of Barber Baptist Church. He always had a funny story or joke to share. He was simply the best of the best, always with a smile on his face. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Jones Thompson, brother Gary Jones, grandson Konrad Holmes, soninlaw Bill Price, brothersinlaw Ed Flud, Ralph Mays, and Gary Radford, and several uncles and aunts. Floyd is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 55 years 9 months 16 days , Betty Holland Jones of the home, 3 daughters LaDonna Stanhope and husband Littlejoe, Lisa Riddle and husband Darrell, and Penny Holmes and husband Kenneth all of Stilwell, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren Jackie Price and wife Lindsey of Misawa, Japan, Brandy Maxwell of Stilwell, Kasper Holmes and wife Audra of Columbia, SC , Kolton Holmes of Stilwell, OK, Holland RiddleWhitley and husband Michael of Tulsa, OK, Alisa Riddle of Tahlequah, OK, Jonathan Riddle and wife Taylor of Shady Grove, OK, and Jeremy Price and wife Shylah of Tahlequah, OK, seven great grandchildren: Cheyenne Price, Wynter Annabell and James Tyler Maxwell, Audrianna and Kassidy Holmes, and June Price, one brother Bill Jones, seven sistersinlaw and three brothersinlaw: Mary Flud, JohnAnn Charles Duvall, Barbara Mays, Kay Radford, James Holland, Donnzetta Bill Kilpatrick, Linda Jones, and Nancy Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services held 2:00 p.m. August 27, 2013, at Barber Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Gods Flower Garden, the family cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Stilwell, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers please consider: Floyd and his family became supporters of the Adair County Relay For Life after losing their grandson to cancer, he and the family ask that you give to his team Rockets For A Cure. It is the hope of the family that a cure for cancer will be found.
