Jackie Leon Neale, son of J.L. Neale and Mildred Faye Workman, was born on August 19, 1958 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 51. Jackie graduated in 1976 from Stilwell High School where he participated in both football and wrestling. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 75th Field Artillery for four years. Jackie was a Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years. He was a passionate member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union. Jackie was enthusiastic about Oklahoma Football and was rarely without his beloved OU Sooners ball cap. Jackie enjoyed playing video games with his son, Connor, talking with his daughter Stephanie and he adored spoiling his grandson Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents J.L. Neale and Mildred Faye Workman. Jackie is survived by a loving family, his wife Timmie Lynn Neale and son Connor JL Neale of the home, daughter: Stephanie Neale of Norman, OK, stepdaughter: Christine HolzberleinSloan of Norman, OK, stepson: Jeff Holzberlein of Norman, OK, grandson: Drake Warren Shafer of Norman, OK. Brothers: David Sean Ruston and Jeffrey Alan Ruston of Stilwell, OK, and numerous relatives, friends and associates throughout the United States. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at the First Untied Methodist Church, Stilwell, OK with Rev. Barry Hayes officiating. Interment follows at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of the National Cemetery and RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
