James Keeter

James Allen Keeter, son of Gerald Franklin and Wilma Louise Winters Keeter was born October 31, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 12, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 12 days. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for many years until retirement in 1979. He also worked as an electrician in the refrigeration business for several years. He was a very loving father and grandfather to his family. He also enjoyed coin collecting, was an avid fisherman and could play the the Dobro. James was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Claudette Edmeston and 1 nephew Tim McCord. He is survived by a very loving family that includes his 2 daughters Sheryl Keeter of Park Hill, Ok, Jaimie Hays and husband Tim of Bixby, Ok, 2 grandchildren Laura Samargis and husband Matt of Stilwell, Ok, Zachary Keeter of Park Hill, Ok, 2 great grandchildren: Israel and Gabriel Samargis both of Stilwell, Ok. 1 brother Gerald Franklin Keeter III of Tulsa, Ok, 1 sister Wand McCord and husband Jerry of Beggs, Ok, several other relatives and many friends also survive him. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Roberts Chapel, Westville, Ok. Interment follows at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, Ok.
