Janie Sue (Kimble) Johnson was born on January 18, 1932, to Erb and Mamie Kimble in Bunch, Oklahoma. Janie went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2022, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 13 days.

She married Bobby Merril Johnson on January 18, 1950, and to this union two children were born: Johnny Johnson and Debbie (Johnson) Knight.

Many people knew her from Jim Dandy drive-in and her famous taco salad. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant at Stilwell Middle School where she loved and helped many students.

If you have ever been to her house, you would have seen how much pleasure she took in her flowers and flowerbeds. She also had a passion for cooking, and no one ever left her house hungry. She knew everyone’s favorite dish and took great pains in preparing it.

But her main love was her family, she loved each one with a special love that made them each feel like they were her favorite.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 5 brothers: Herbert, Denvil, Pete, Lester, and Georgie Bill; 3 sisters: Edna, Lucille, and Margaret; and a special niece: Galedia.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Lucille Kimble, and Marilyn Hill Russell; son: Johnny Johnson and wife Donna of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and daughter: Debbie Knight and husband Jerry Joe of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Three grandchildren: Sherry Cross and husband Cody, Joe Knight and wife Krysten, and Kim Harlin and husband Brian all of Stilwell; and honorary grandchildren: Jonathan McKillop, and Cassy VanTassel.
