Janis Harlan

Harlan was born August 18, 1949, to Tommy Hogner and Etta Sue (Hummingbird) Hogner-Moore in Tahlequah, OK and God called her home on March 19, 2018 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 68 years, 7 months, and 1 day.

Janis graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, OK. She married Daniel Harlan, had two sons Gary and George, one daughter Tammy. She enjoyed going to yard sales, watching TV (old westerns and older cartoons), listening to gospel (Cherokee) music, and playing bingo with her friends at senior housing. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in December 2016.

Janis was preceded in death by her parents: Tommy Hogner, Etta Sue (Hummingbird) Hogner-Moore, son: Gary Harlan, brother: Marland Hogner, grandparents: Daniel and Lucy (Mankiller) Hummingbird, John Hogner and Nancy "Nannie" (Sixkiller) Hogner.

She is survived by husband: Daniel Harlan, son: George Dean, brothers: George Hogner and companion Giselle, David Hogner, sisters: Elaine Grigsby and husband Donald "Bud", Wanda Brown and husband Jerry, step-sister: Joie Smith, step-mother: Patsy Doublehead and husband Adam Joe.

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her.
