Jewel Woolard

Jewel Mae Woolard, daughter of John D. and Dollie Jane Noblin Palone, was born on March 6, 1929 in Chewey, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 9, 2011 in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 3 days. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Jewel cherished her family and her world revolved around them. She married the love of her life, Manuel Woolard, on February 2, 1947. They were blessed with 64 years together. She will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death were her parents: John and Dollie Palone, brothers: Chester and Dee Palone, sister: Wanda Newby, daughter: Shirley Holt and husband Jimmy. Keeping her memory is her husband: Manuel Woolard of the home in Colcord, OK, daughters: Brenda Hayes and husband Wayne of Springdale, AR, Karen Langston and husband Jack of Watts, OK, Darla Jereccek and husband Kurt of Lacrosse, WI, Hollie White and husband Mike of Colcord, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sisters: Gertrude Hobbs of Adair, OK, Shirley Stilwell of Tulsa, OK, Sherrion Pilgrim of Godfrey, South Carolina. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Roberts Chapel, Westville, OK with Rev. Hugh Woolard and Rev. James Woolard officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
