Jim Stevens

March 16, 1929 — January 25, 2015

Jim Stevens, son of Charlie and Beulah (Carson) Stevens was born March 16, 1929 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on January 25, 2015 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 9 days.

Jim married the love of his life Modena Edgmon on July 25, 1956 and to this union two children were born; Kevin and Diane.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Korea. He was an electrician at Stilwell Foods for many years before retirement. He thoroughly enjoyed farming, making a garden, bee keeping, hunting, fishing and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Powerhouse Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 son; Kevin Stevens, 5 sisters; Annie Estes, Christine Bailey, Elsie Estes, Mary Lou Points, Callie Adair, 2 brothers; Ray Stevens and Paul Stevens.

Jim is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 58 years; Modena Stevens of the Home in Stilwell, OK, daughter; Diane Eubanks and husband Roger, daughter in law; Gina Stevens grandchildren; Josh Eubanks and wife Julea', Jessica Means and husband Hugh, Hunter Stevens and Fiance' Cara Fountain all of Stilwell, Ok. 3 great grandchildren; Landon Eubanks, Kipton Means and Kenzie Means, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Darrell Lacie and Bro. James Essary officiating. Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
