Jimmy Sawney

Jimmy Ray Sawney, known to most as Boy or Cosmo was born May 24,1955, in Tahlequah Oklahoma to Bill and Eunice (Littledeer) Chuculate. He left for his permanent home on February 22, 2025, at the age of 69 years old.

Boy loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was married to the love of his life Janis Sawney. When his health permitted, he liked going to yard sales, riding around, fishing, swimming, and sitting outside listening to music. He worked as a heavy machinery mechanic for Sequoyah County for approximately 26 years and retired in 2012. He gave his life to the Lord in 1998 and attended church at Praise Temple in Muldrow OK.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janis Sawney, son Jimmy Lee Sawney and wife Renée, daughter Rebecca Chuculate, daughter Shelly Black, mother and father Bill & Eunice Chuculate, four sisters Linda Littledeer, Viola Lopez, Betty Duncan, and Josie Vann and two grandsons Ty and Brayden Black.

He is survived by his sister Virginia Black and husband Carl of Stilwell, OK, one son Dale Sisco and wife Tracy of Roland OK, son in law Preston Black of Stilwell OK. His grandchildren Taylor and Malinda Chuculate of Tahlequah, OK, Geronimo Tidwell of Stilwell, OK, Sophie Cochran and husband Daniel of Stilwell, OK, Madison Lockhart and husband Trey of Roland, OK, Jurnee Melon and husband Jack of Moore, OK, Briana Hernandez of Roland, OK, and his fifteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 in our Roberts Reed Culver Chapel with visitation on Thursday starting at 2pm-8pm. Family will greet friends from 5pm-8pm.
