JoAnn Eubanks

Joann Eubanks, age 70, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, passed from this life into heaven on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Joann was born on August 23, 1952 to Lloyd and Helen Eubanks in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She attended grade school at Rocky Mountain. She graduated from Cave Springs High School and furthered her education at Ruth’s Beauty School. After earning her cosmetology license, she worked at Ida’s Beauty Shop. She finished her career at Dorothy’s Beauty Shop.

Joann lived a life of service to God and others. She was a longtime, faithful member of the Rocky Mountain Community Church. She had a special place in her heart for teaching children about Jesus. She taught Sunday School classes for many years and was known for her fun lessons, singing, and treats. She also volunteered with preschoolers at Rocky Mountain School after her retirement. She adored animals and rescued and cared for many throughout her life. Joann’s big smile, sweet spirit, and kind words made everyone she met feel special and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Lloyd Eubanks, and her brother, JC Eubanks.

Joann is survived by her sister, Shirley Swafford and husband Herman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sister-in-law Joyce Eubanks of Stilwell, Oklahoma; nephews Phillip Eubanks and Jay Eubanks of Stilwell; and nephew Tim Eubanks and wife Karen of Lincoln, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews: Kerigan Dandridge, husband Jacob, and daughter Blazie; and Scott, Jaeda, Alexa, Isaac, and Elijah Eubanks.
