Joe Walker

Joe Elmer Walker was born on August 28, 1933 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 28 days.

He was a machinist by trade. Joe was retired and enjoying life with his God, family and friends. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word or a joke to tell. Joe was an amazing father, always there for us all.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Dell and Anna Walker, brothers: Robert Walker and Carl Walker, wife: Tressa Walker and daughter: LuAnna Walker.

He is survived by his daughters: Sheila Simmons of Sand Springs, OK, Peggy King of Tulsa, OK and son: Quinton Walker of the home in Tulsa, brother: Richard Walker and wife Viola of Siloam Springs, AR, Dale Walker and wife Kathy of Siloam Springs, sisters: Helen Potter of Auburn Hills, MI, Wilma Watkins of Gentry, AR, Linda Dorsey and husband Charles of Siloam Springs, grandsons: Duke Simmons of Beggs, OK, Chad Simmons of Sand Springs, granddaughters: Tressa Burr, Cindy Simmons, great grandchildren: Lanna and Braden Ketcher, Bently Burr, all of Tulsa, Megan Simmons of Pryor, OK, Zachary Simmons of Beggs, Dillon Simmons of Tahlequah, OK and John Aaron Hodges of Fayetteville, AR.

He was baptized on April 8, 1951 at the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs, AR.

Funeral services at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Roberts Hart Chapel with Bro. Mike Walker officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, OK.
