John Ran Foster was born in Binger, Oklahoma on October 22, 1939 to George and Teastie Dandridge Foster. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years and 11 days. He lived in Stilwell most of his life. John worked hard all of his life to take good care of his family. He was a factory worker for many years, but he chose to be a truck driver for 22 years. John really enjoyed driving a truck. He married Christine Beasley on March 1, 1975. They were married for 36 loving years. John and Christine have two daughters, Tina and Nettie that he loved very much and loved the time spent with them. John enjoyed riding bikes with his daughters when they were younger and taught his daughters to believe and trust in the Lord. He also liked watching westerns and spending time with his twin brother Oscar. John was a simple, hard working man. He was the type of person that never met a stranger. He loved talking to anyone and would help anyone he could. His eyes were full of love and he had a smile that lit up a room. John loved a good joke. He was the type of man that you could ask him what he would like for Christmas and he would always say that all he needed for Christmas was his family. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. John put his family first. He loved his grandchildren so much. John was well loved and will be missed very much. John was preceded in death by his parents two sisters: Rose Mary McCollum and Martha Lewis. Survivors include his wife: Christine Foster of the home in Stilwell daughters: Tina Elmore and husband Frank of Stilwell and Nettie Lacey and husband David of Muskogee, OK one brother: Oscar Dan Foster of Stilwell sisters: Goldie Littlejohn and husband Dewayne of Stilwell, Georgia Hart of Okmulgee, OK and Hanna Jo Stewart of Yukon, OK two grandchildren: Jordan Elmore of Stilwell and Sierra Lacey of Muskogee. John is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 10 am on Saturday, Novmeber 5, 2011 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Eugene Kester officiating.
