Johney F. Crittenden was born March 21, 1927 in Adair County the son of Joseph Franklin and Susie Mae (Reeser) Crittenden. He passed from this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 90 years.
Johney attended Peavine Schools as a child. He was a US Army Korean War veteran and a retired stationary engineer for McDonnel Douglas. He loved to fish.
Johney married Etta Belle Smallen in Tulsa on April 7, 1953 and they are members of the Airport Free Will Baptist Church.
His survivors are wife, Etta of the Tulsa home; daughters, Dr. Etta Marie Patterson and husband, Dr. Greg of Nashville, TN, Freda Joyce Hodges and husband, Richard of Kathleen, GA and Carolyn Annette Eagleton and husband, Stephen of Chandler, AZ; grandsons, John Hodges and wife, Heather of Swainsboro, GA and David Hodges and wife, Heather of Portal, GA; granddaughters, Stefani Eagleton of Chandler, AZ, Staci Eagleton of Nashville, TN and Stori Eagleton of Chandler, AZ; great grandchildren, Isaac, Kendall, Jackson and Haley Kate; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation for Johney will be held 5-8pm on Tuesday at Heath-Griffith Funeral Home in Tulsa, l-2pm on Wednesday at Airport Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa and 5-8pm on Wednesday at Roberts-Reed
Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Airport Free Will Baptist Church, 1190 N. Mingo Road, Tulsa and a graveside comittal service will be held 11am, Thursday,
August 24th at Reese Cemetery in the Peavine community near Stilwell. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home in Tulsa and Roberts-Reed Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell. An
