Judy Gayle Waters

Judy Gayle Waters passed peacefully from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, November 9, 2023 at the age of 78. She was born March 16, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and lived most of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Judy Gayle was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and was the school librarian at Grove Elementary and Union Schools for many years. She also worked as a tour guide. Judy Gayle had many passions, including traveling, watching Oklahoma Sooners games (especially football and softball), playing bingo, and reading. A lifelong learner, Judy Gayle was an enthusiastic book club member, where she made many longtime friends. Despite her lengthy reading list, Judy Gayle never bought books, instead preferring to check them out from the local library. Judy Gayle was a loyal friend, very generous and caring, and graciously gave back to her community through the support of many local charitable causes.

Judy Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Feron and Barbara Jean Waters.

She is survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends. Burial will be in Stilwell, Oklahoma alongside her parents.
