June Vankirk

June Vankirk, a longtime retail worker and homemaker passed away on Friday, August 13th, 2021, after a brave battle with covid and lung cancer.

June Vankirk was born July 18th, 1943, to Frances and Letha Clinton in Wister, Oklahoma. June had 15 brothers and sisters.

She married Bill Heustis in February 1960 and they had 3 beautiful children: Pam March, Billy Heustis, and Patricia Lowe.

June also had two grandchildren: Jessica Layton and Althea Lowe. She had 5 great grandchildren: Daisy, Johanna, Miles, Leo, and Octavia.

June is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings, along with her son: Billy, her grandsons: Brandon and Jared, and great grandson: Jared.

June had a passion for sewing and loved going to yard sales and finding treasures. She loved to play with her grandkids and spent hours playing Nintendo with them.

Graveside services were held at 1 pm on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Whitmire Cemetery, Christie, Oklahoma under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
