Karen Sims

Karen DeLaine Sims, daughter of Stanley and Nadene Byrd Shell was born November 4, 1966 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 16, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 46 years, 8 months and 12 days. Karen was a very dedicated, hard working wife and mother for her family. She had an infectious smile that would light up the world. She had a great love for her family especially her boys. Karen also enjoyed her many purses and shoes. She was a member of New Baptist Church. Karen was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband Benton Sims, 2 sons Michael Acorn and Cheyton all of the home in Stilwell, OK, step children Whitney Sims, Brenton Sims both of Hector, AR, Chris Sims of Morrilton, AR, Chelsey Sims of Stilwell, OK, her parents Stanley and Nadene Shell of Stilwell, OK. 2 brothers Michael Dean Shell of Bunch, OK, Gregory Shell of Tahlequah, OK, 1 sister Stacey Grooms and husband Steve of Stilwell, OK, 3 grandchildren Logan Sims, Kane and Evan Rosser, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Funeral services at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at New Life Church, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Ted Qualls and Bro. Todd Dowty officiating. Interment followed at Chuculate Cemetery.
