Kathryn Green

Kathryn Billie (Hogner) Green departed this life while surrounded by loving family on May 26, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

Kathryn was born May 22, 1930 to Adam and Katie Hogner in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas where she met and later married Edward Green. They raised two daughters and divorced after 32 years of marriage. Kathryn was a faithful and long-time member of First Indian Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She retired from a decades-long career as a loan officer with the Veterans Administration. In her free time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, watching her beloved Oklahoma City Thunder play, and long phone visits with family and friends. Above all, Kathryn’s favorite passion was giving love and spending time with her family.

Kathryn is survived by daughters: Billie Land and husband Daniel Land from Port Ludlow, Washington and Elizabeth Brown and husband Ray Brown from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; her six grandchildren: Lindsay Spencer of Fort Gibson, Robert Brown of Fort Gibson, Kara Stuart of Federal Way, Washington, Holly Murray of Broken Arrow, Julie Whitaker of Fort Gibson, Kelsey Slavin of Reno, Nevada, and in-laws: Jason Spencer, Courtney Brown, Rachel Stuart, Andrew Whitaker, and Erick Slavin. Kathryn is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren: Paul, Christopher, and Connor Spencer; Sam, Nora, Anna, Levi, and Owen Brown; Mackenzie Murray; Natalie, Luke, and Landon Whitaker, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents and her ten siblings: Edna Massey, Ollie Guthrie, Elsie Gray, Marie Hummingbird, Jeff Hogner, Alyene Hogner, Maudine Worley, Kenneth Hogner, Bennie Hogner, and Wanda Sue Collins.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Larry Bowles officiating.  Interment followed at Tyler Springs Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
