Larry Barr

Larry A. Barr, son of Henry and Hilda Bridges Barr was born April 10, 1938 in Utah and departed this life to be with our Lord on December 4, 2009 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 71 years 8 months and 6 days. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He worked as a welder for many years in which he was very creative even making his wife Helen some beautiful patio furniture. Larry loved to go camping. He was also a very good handy man. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Welling, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother; Max Barr and 1 sister; Barbara Barr. Larry is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of the home in Stilwell, OK; Helen Barr, his children; Barry Riley of Stilwell, OK, Barbara Barr of Joplin, MO, Julie Braden of Weaverville, CA, Deborah Winchester and husband Mike, Gary Riley all of Joplin, MO, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. His Mother-in-law; Ruby Christie of Stilwell, Ok, Special friends; Wanda and Allen Briggs of Paris, TN, Helen and Louis Youdal of Brooksville, FL, Darla and Daniel Miller of Jennings, LA, sister-in-law; Shirley Andergg and niece Diane Ford of Concord, CA, several other relatives and many friends also survive him. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro.Rick Hobbs and Bro. Vol Woods officiating. Interment followed in Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home.
