Lena Guffey

Lena Marie Guffey, daughter of Tom and Drucilla Cragg Panter, was born on December 12, 1930 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with her Lord on Friday, April 5, 2013 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 23 days. Lena was a caring, loving woman. She cared for her family and friends deeply and was always concerned for their happiness. Lena married Bill Guffey on January 18, 1957 and the Lord blessed them with a long marriage and wonderful family. She helped Bill provide for their family as a Nurse for many years. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death were her parents: Tom and Drucilla Panter, husband: Bill Guffey, sisters: Lahoma Fuson, Roxie Radford, brothers: Ralph Panter, Bennie Panter and James Panter. Those remaining to keep her memory are her children: Darrell Guffey and wife Dianna of Welling, OK, daughter: Debra Tigges and husband Steve of Edmond, OK, grandchildren: Robyn Taylor and husband Andrew of Bunch, OK, Cyndi Burns and husband Phillip of Braedenton, FL, Billy Guffey and Josh Vann, both of Welling, Justin Vann and wife Holly of Tahlequah, OK, Amanda Tigges of New York City, NY, Jacob Tigges of Tulsa, OK, Sam Tigges of Edmond, great grandchildren: Summer, Avery, Nikolas, Elliot and Logan Taylor of Bunch, Madelyn Burns of Braedenton, FL. Graveside services at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Bro. Roger Haney officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
