Lloyd John English was born January 17, 1960 at Fayetteville, Arkansas to Mary Girdner English and Lloyd English. He departed this life after a brief illness, on November 27, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother Mary Girdner English and father Lloyd English, and step-father Bobbie G. Gill. Lloyd enjoyed many things such as traveling, going out to eat, listening to his music C.Ds and watching his DVD movies. He was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and could recall every song and movie. He would sing along and impersonate him while singing. Lloyd had an amazing ability to remember people and their names and was always glad to see them. Many people will always remember him greeting them with a big HI, smile and hand shake. Lloyd loved and cared for his cats, Adam, Sam, Susan and Matt Dillion. He would also call to them and say, Daddys Home He attended Guiding Light Church and was always ready to go every Sunday morning and would say I ready. He dearly loved his Sunday school class with his very special friend Leonard Asbill and his teacher Josephine Butler. His memory will live on in those who survive him: sister: Rebecca Becky Lessard of Kansas City, MO, special cousins: Rhonda Braden and husband Danny of Stilwell, OK, Charlie Dean Girdner and wife Joyce of Stilwell, OK, aunt: Euphemia English Girdner of Stilwell, OK, uncle: Woodrow Wilson Buck English of Stilwell, OK, aunt: Ruby Kelly of Lebanon, Oregon, special friend: Leonard Asbill, nieces: Debra Poteet, Sherry Brocato, Tammy Smith and Deanna Michaud, several other relatives and many friends. A special thanks to the Stilwell Nursing Home staff and Dr. Jenkins for attending to Lloyd during his stay at the nursing home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Ford officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home.
