Louis Bobbitt

Louis Eugene Bobbitt son of Louis and Dora T. Bacon Bobbitt was born November 3, 1925 in Steelville, Missouri and departed this life on March 21, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 18 days. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for many years in Texas doing wonderful work. After retirement he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas for many years before moving to Oklahoma where he locally attended St. Brigids Catholic Church in Tahlequah. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. Louis was preceded in death by his parents Louis Bobbitt and Dora Bobbitt Richardson, his wife Ruth Bobbitt in 2006, daughter Sandra Sue Bobbitt, 3 sisters Edna Bobbitt, Bessie Martin and Betty Jo Perrigue. He is survived by a very loving family that includes his daughter Mary Smallen and husband Wadie of Stilwell, OK, 4 grandchildren Patrick Ware and wife Gina of San Antonio, TX, Justin Smallen and wife Britney of Tahlequah, OK, Jeffrey Smallen and wife LeeAnn of San Marcos, TX, Kimberly Thornton and husband Clif of Hutto, TX. 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Marshfield, Missouri with Father Sunnenberg officiating. Interment followed in the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
