Loyce Louise McClain

Loyce Louise (Edwards) McClain was born on January 29, 1926, in Beggs, Oklahoma. She was the second child of Mary C. (Speer) Edwards and Columbus N. Edwards.

Loyce was preceded by in death by her husband Charlie McClain and son Charles McClain, also two brothers Jack Edwards, Eddie Edwards, and sister Irene (Edwards) Turnbull, and great granddaughter Jennifer (Fletcher) Miller.

December 1949 Loyce would marry Charlie McClain. There were three children in this family. Gwenlyn (Robertson) Fletcher, Janet Sue Henderson, and Charles N. McClain, and 25 grandchildren including greats and great greats.

Loyce worked as kitchen manager at cave Springs School and at Keys School. She really liked her work, and she made great hot rolls.

Loyce was a great prayer warrior. She had pictures of all her children and grandchildren down the hall walls and she prayed for them daily.
